The access to safe water is a fundamental human right.  This year, cbc Honduras has joined the Education Ministry initiative to guarantee that communities and schools of the central, south and eastern zones of the country can have water filters.  This program will reach around 20,000 people.

cbc started this project in the Amaretaca Valley, at the Francisco Miranda Technical School located in Zambrano.  The school has 800 students in a community of 3000 inhabitants.

Besides the filters installation, training and information about the use and maintenance of the filters will be given to teachers, parents and municipal authorities.
